The book collects testimonies and stories of Argentinian desaparecidos during the military dictatorship; it helps to retrace the path of the collective memory, faces and places, becoming a bond for different generations.

The portraits made in medium format by Giorgio Palmera, and the interviews edited by the anthropologist Gino Bianchi, show the places and the leading actors of this dark chapter of History. In this context the amazing panoramic shots show a city, Buenos Aires, with all its memories and secrets. The aim is not to forget, to repeat it again and again, turning recollections into social memory.
